Beast From Water (found poem)

Ralph,
unaccountably angry,
could do
nothing

Assembly after assembly
had broken
in laughter

They decide things
but,
they don't get done

Ralph,
unaccountably angry,
could do
nothing

Ralph shouted
and the last laugh
died away,
argument started again

The assembly
had broken

Ralph's anger was
like the deepness
of the ocean

The littleluns
were scared

But Jack
and the hunters
were crazy and fearless

The assembly
had broken

At the end,
three boys
stood in the darkness
powerless.
