I am from Panama, from the loud city and the Cinta Costera
I am from the tall buildings of the city
From the high platano tree behind my house, and the beautiful smell of the roses in my kitchen
I am from the family dinners on Saturday with my mom, to week night dinners with my sister and dad, my nanny's arrepas and my dads french toasts
I am from the sports fanatics and the artists
From the "calm down" and the "stop running around"
I am from no religion.
I am from the days my dad broke his arms in a car crash, the day my uncle accidently burned his room, and the first day on my moms new school
I am from those moments all around the world, the good ones and the bad ones.
My life is like a palm tree divided in two
Planted in one seed, but then divided
